Patrizia Ziveri gave a presentation in which she tackled the “State of knowledge of Mediterranean Sea acidification and lessons learned from the MedSeA European project”.

The Conference was organised in the framework of the Action Week on Ocean Acidification, which aimed at highlighting the threat of ocean acidification during the first week of May 2021 with educational and public activities.

At the conference, some of the world’s leading researchers in ocean acidification presented their findings, and the environmental movement presented popular science articles for use in spreading awareness of research results and the need for action to various interest groups. It was arranged by AirClim and Novia UAS as part of the BALSAM project (Baltic Sea Acidification Mitigation; funded by the Swedish Institute) in collaboration with Ecoaction (Ukraine), Friends of the Baltic (Russia), and Polish Ecological Club Pomeranian Branch (Poland).
